Jahrestagung 2020. Fährten. Menschen-Tier-Verhältnisse in Reflexionen des Exils

 

The range of topics of the conference will include the aspect of degradation of certain groups of people using animals as a metaphor. The obvious association with the phrase "Jewish pest" refers to the history of National Socialism and its racist ideology of dehumanization and exclusion. Other classical research questions as well as exclusion, expropriation, conditions of flight, resistance, livelihoods and assimilation both in everyday history and in artistic and media manifestations in the context of persecution and expulsion will also be addressed.

Das Themenspektrum der Tagung soll unter anderem den Aspekt der Herabsetzung bestimmter Menschengruppen über die Tiermetaphorik behandeln. Die naheliegende Assoziation mit der Phrase vom „jüdischen Schädling“ verweist auf die Geschichte des Nationalsozialismus und seine rassistische Dehumanisierungs- und Ausgrenzungsideologie. Weitere klassische Fragestellungen der Forschung sowie Ausgrenzung, Enteignung, Fluchtbedingungen, Widerstand, Existenzgrundlagen und Assimilation sowohl in der Alltagsgeschichte als auch in den künstlerischen und medialen Manifestationen im Kontext von Verfolgung und Vertreibung sollen ebenfalls thematisiert werden.
