Description
15 years ago Franz Leitner, the long-time chairman of the provincial association of anti-fascists, resistance fighters and victims of fascism and one of the "Righteous Among the Nations" died in Graz. In this year's Year of Remembrance, 75 years of liberation, the concentration camp association wants to remember Franz Leitner in several ways. In autumn 2020, for example, a commemorative plaque will be installed at the former home of Franz Leitner in Graz, and his life will also be documented in the form of a biography.

Vor 15 Jahren starb in Graz Franz Leitner, der langjährige Vorsitzende des Landesverbandes der AntifaschistInnen, WiderstandskämpferInnen und Opfer des Faschismus und einer der „Gerechten der Völker“. Im heurigen Gedenkjahr, 75 Jahre Befreiung, will der KZ-Verband Franz Leitner in mehrfacher Hinsicht wieder in Erinnerung rufen. So wird im Herbst 2020 am ehemaligen Wohnhaus von Franz Leitner in Graz eine Gedenktafel angebracht, und zudem soll sein Leben in Form einer Biografie dokumentiert werden.
