Description
Yad Vashem is currently continuing to collect documents from the People's Court; these documents provide a comprehensive picture of persecution in Austria and provide insights into court proceedings against individuals. Another very large collection is that of the Nazi Reich Regional Office for Genealogical Research. The collection contains important Jewish genealogical records. A classification of this collection regarding proof of descent for parentage testing is still being carried out. Yad Vashem has begun work on the collection of the municipal school board. The program in the Vienna Municipal and Provincial Archives is expected to last another seven to eight years, as material is constantly being found.

Aktuell sammelt Yad Vashem weiterhin Dokumente vom Volksgericht; diese vermitteln ein umfassendes Bild der Verfolgung in Österreich und geben Einblicke in Gerichtsverfahren gegen Einzelpersonen. Eine weitere sehr große Sammlung stellt die des Nazi-Gauamts für Sippenforschung dar. Die Sammlung enthält wichtige jüdische genealogische Aufzeichnungen. Eine Gliederung dieser Sammlung bezüglich Abstammungsnachweises zur Abstammungsprüfung wird noch durchgeführt. Yad Vashem hat mit der Bearbeitung der Sammlung des Stadtschulrats begonnen. Das Programm im Wiener Stadt- und Landesarchiv wird voraussichtlich weitere sieben bis acht Jahre dauern, da laufend Material gefunden wird.
