Establishment of a memorial site for people persecuted for medical reasons, the mentally ill, disabled and old people in need of care during the Nazi tyranny in Carinthia

On the grounds of the Geriatric Day Clinic there is a minimalist memorial, which commemorates those people who were persecuted and murdered at this place during the Nazi era. During the course of the conversion and extension of the Geriatric Department at the Klagenfurt Clinic, an up-to-date memorial is now to be created which will remember those people who fell victim to the "euthanasia programme" of the Nazi injustice system.

Auf dem Gelände der Geriatrischen Tagesklinik befindet sich eine minimalisierte Erinnerungsstätte, die an jene Menschen erinnert, die während der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus an diesem Ort verfolgt und ermordet wurden. Im Rahmen des Um- und Erweiterungsbaues der Geriatrischen Abteilung am Klinikum Klagenfurt soll nunmehr eine Gedenkstätte entstehen, die dem Stand der Zeit entsprechend jene Menschen in Erinnerung ruft, die dem „Euthanasieprogramm“ des NS-Unrechtssystems zum Opfer gefallen sind.
