Dora Kallmus (stage name Madame D'Ora), born on 20 March 1881 in Vienna, died on 30 October 1963, was an Austrian photographer. The aim of the project is to publish her diaries, which she wrote during the Nazi period and which bear witness to her despair, her fears and her loneliness. They are shocking testimonies of a person on the run. After a raid in Paris on July 17, 1942, D'Ora fled to the south of France on August 2. She wanted to go to Macon, which she knew from before and which had not yet been occupied by the Germans. When the Germans marched in there too, the French took the refugees south to Lalouvesc to safety. D'Ora stayed therer until the end of the war. It is planned to publish the diaries and, as far as they can be found, D'Ora's theoretical essays, which she wrote during the last years of hiding in the South of France.

Dora Kallmus (Künstlername Madame D’Ora), geboren am 20.03.1881 in Wien, verstorben am 30.10.1963, war eine österreichische Fotografin. Ziel des Projekts ist die Veröffentlichung ihrer Tagebücher, welche sie in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus geschrieben hat und die ihre Verzweiflung, ihre Ängste und ihre Einsamkeit zeigen. Es sind erschütternde Zeitzeugnisse eines Menschen auf der Flucht. Nach einer Razzia am 17.07.1942 in Paris ist D’Ora am 2. August in den Süden Frankreichs geflohen. Sie wollte nach Macon, das ihr von früher bekannt war und das von den Deutschen noch nicht besetzt war. Als auch dort die Deutschen einmarschieren, bringen die Franzosen die Flüchtlinge südlicher, nach Lalouvesc, in Sicherheit. Dort bleibt D’Ora bis zum Ende des Krieges. Geplant ist, die Tagebücher und soweit auffindbar D’Oras theoretische Essays, die sie in den letzten Jahren des Verstecks in Südfrankreich geschrieben hat, zu veröffentlichen.
