"The Lost Glass Empire" is a documentary film project for television. Evelyn Palin had to flee Vienna with her family in order to survive. Her grandfather, Oswald Weiss, was an outstanding glass manufacturer in Austria before the "Anschluss" and before all his factories in Europe (including two in Austria) were confiscated by the Nazis. With this film project, the filmmakers want to set out to retrace their mother's footsteps and rediscover their great-grandfather's lost glass empire throughout Austria and Europe so that it will not be forgotten in history.

„The lost Glass Empire“ ist ein Dokumentarfilmprojekt für das Fernsehen. Evelyn Palin musste zusammen mit ihrer Familie aus Wien fliehen, um zu überleben. Ihr Großvater, Oswald Weiss, war vor dem Anschluss und bevor alle seine Fabriken in Europa (darunter zwei in Österreich) von den Nazis beschlagnahmt wurden, ein herausragender Glashersteller in Österreich. Mit diesem Filmprojekt wollen sich die Filmemacher daran machen, die Spuren ihrer Mutter zurückzuverfolgen und das verlorene Glasimperium ihres Urgroßvaters in ganz Österreich und Europa wiederzuentdecken, damit dieses in der Geschichte nicht vergessen wird.
