Description
Dani Gal's artistic practice focuses on understanding the production of ideology through the representation of specific historical narratives in a variety of media. Using archive documents, Dani Gal explores the relationship between image, sound and text. This led to the idea of publishing a book about one of his three short films. Each of the three films deals with a particular historical event of the Holocaust, its impact on the lives of victims and survivors, and its impact on the personal and collective legacy of National Socialism.

Dani Gals künstlerische Praxis konzentriert sich darauf, die Produktion von Ideologie durch die Darstellung spezifischer historischer Narrative in einer Vielzahl von Medien zu verstehen. Mit Hilfe von Archivdokumenten untersucht Dani Gal die Beziehung zwischen Bild, Ton und Text. Daraus ist die Idee entstanden, ein Buch über eine seine drei Kurzfilme zu veröffentlichen. Jeder der drei Filme befasst sich mit einem bestimmten historischen Ereignis des Holocaust, seinen Auswirkungen auf das Leben der Opfer und Überlebenden und den Auswirkungen auf das persönliche und kollektive Erbe des Nationalsozialismus.
