The Summer Academy is an international teachers' workshop that annually gathers educators and multipliers from 15 countries in one or more major European cities. The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of Jewish-European history, to jointly develop teaching models on the topic of the Holocaust, National Socialism and Jewish history, and to build long-term cross-border networks. One of the main goals of the Summer Academies has always been to facilitate international cooperation between teachers and their students.

Bei der Sommerakademie handelt es sich um einen internationalen LehrerInnen-Workshop, bei dem alljährlich PädagogInnen und MultiplikatorInnen aus 15 Ländern in einer oder mehreren europäischen Großstädten versammelt werden. Ziel des Workshops ist es, den TeilnehmerInnen ein tiefgreifendes Verständnis der jüdisch-europäischen Geschichte zu vermitteln, gemeinsam Lehrmodelle zum Thema „Holocaust, Nationalsozialismus und jüdische Geschichte“ zu entwickeln und langfristige grenzüberschreitende Netzwerke zu bilden. Eins der Hauptziele der Sommerakademien ist es seit jeher, internationale Kooperationen zwischen Lehrkräften und deren SchülerInnen zu ermöglichen.
