The four-part work traces the fates of Jewish women in Krems, researched by historian Edith Blaschitz. Women who were expelled and murdered, whose biographies are largely unknown and who were forced to leave their places of residence or work due to Nazi terror. The carpets are transferred to pavements and squares in the urban space of Krems using stencils and glue paint. The carpet samples serve as carriers of biographical information, and are labelled with the names and activities of the Jewish, persecuted women. During the duration of the exhibition, carpets will be continuously added to the Krems urban space until a carpet has been placed for each of the women who have been researched up to that point. A total of about 100 temporary carpets are planned.

Die vierteilige Arbeit begibt sich auf die Spuren der Schicksale von jüdischen Frauen in Krems, die von der Historikerin Edith Blaschitz recherchiert wurden. Frauen, die vertrieben und ermordet wurden, deren Biografien weitgehend unbekannt sind und die gezwungen waren, ihre Wohn- oder Arbeitsorte aufgrund des Naziterrors zu verlassen. Die Teppiche werden auf Gehsteige und auf Plätze im Stadtraum Krems mittels Schablonen und Leimfarbe übertragen. Die Teppichmuster dienen als Träger biografischer Informationen, und werden mit den Namen und Tätigkeiten der jüdischen, verfolgten Frauen versehen. Während der Dauer der Ausstellung werden laufend Teppiche im Kremser Stadtraum ergänzt, bis für jede der Frauen, die bis dahin recherchiert wurde, ein Teppich angebracht wurde. Insgesamt sind etwa 100 temporäre Teppiche vorgesehen.
