Restoration of the memorial for Austrian Holocaust victims

In the Jewish cemetery of Belgrade there is a memorial to the Austrian Holocaust victims from the so-called Kladovo transport who were murdered in the then Yugoslavia. The memorial was built in 1964 and is in urgent need of renovation. In addition to the preparation of project documentation for restoration, renovation and conservation, work needs to be carried out to assess the current condition, analyse the stone components, modify the static structural support, remove old material and concrete and stone work, as well as cleaning. The aim is to keep alive the memory of the Jewish victims of Nazism through the restored monument.

Auf dem jüdischen Friedhof von Belgrad befindet sich ein Denkmal zur Erinnerung an die österreichischen Holocaust-Opfer aus dem so genannten Kladovo-Transport, die im damaligen Jugoslawien ermordet wurden. Das Denkmal wurde 1964 erbaut und muss dringend renoviert werden. Neben der Erstellung der Projektdokumentation für die Restaurierung, Sanierung und Konservierung müssen Arbeiten zur Bewertung des gegenwärtigen Zustands, zur Analyse der Steinkomponenten, zur Änderung der statischen strukturellen Unterstützung, zur Entfernung von Altmaterial und zu Beton- und Steinarbeiten sowie eine Reinigung durchgeführt werden. Ziel ist es, durch das restaurierte Denkmal die Erinnerung an die jüdischen Opfer des Nationalsozialismus wachzuhalten.
