Project

Description

Josef Frank, born 1885 in Baden near Vienna, died 1967 in Stockholm, was an Austrian-Swedish architect. Together with Oskar Stmad, he created the Viennese School of Architecture, which advocated its own modernist concept of houses, flats and interiors. In 2012, the IPTS edited the published writings of Josef Frank in two volumes in German and English. In 2019, the IPTS began to collect, digitise and process the very scattered and hitherto unpublished manuscript estate as part of the research and publication project “Josef Frank Schriften/Writings III”.
