From 4 to 11 April 2009, a commemorative event took place at the memorial site of the former concentration camp Buchenwald to honor and remember the dead comrades. As every year, the concentration camp association Buchenwald participated in the event. It began with a meeting of the International Committee of the Concentration Camp Buchenwald-Dorau, later there was a commemorative ceremony.

Vom 4. bis zum 11. April 2009 fand in der Gedenkstätte des ehemaligen KZ Buchenwald die Gedenkveranstaltung zur Ehrung und zum Andenken der toten Kameraden statt. Wie jedes Jahr nahm die KZ Vereinigung Buchenwald an der Gedenkveranstaltung teil Die Veranstaltung begann mit der Sitzung des Internationalen Komitees des KZ Buchenwald-Dorau, später gab es eine Gedenkfeier.
