Project
Description
Irene Harand grew up Catholic, antisemitic. When she realized the nature of Nazism, she took up the fight against it, consistently and imaginatively. She launched the “Harand Movement”, which opposed racial hatred and human misery, tirelessly gave lectures and wrote the memorable, excellent book “His Struggle – Answer to Hitler” by Irene Harand. The book was burned. Franz Richard Reiter reissued it and organized a public reading with about 106 people reading the entire book in 14 hours. The marathon reading of the book by Irene Harand, took place about ten years ago, and is now to be reworked and put on YouTube. By making them available on the Internet, the thoughts and deeds of Irene Harand should also be able to be used in teaching at schools.
