With the annual international human rights symposium, the association wants to create links to the Nazi history of the region and establish current references to topics of the present. The aim of the association is to make human rights, their contents and history known and to raise awareness through education, pedagogy and culture and to strengthen the participants in their knowledge of human rights. In the run-up to the Human Rights Symposium, there will be storytelling cafés, meetings, workshops with schools and interested organisations. There is a supporting programme with exhibitions and films. The theme forms an annual focus. There are activities on this throughout the year.

Mit dem jährlich stattfindenden internationalen Menschenrechtssymposium will der Verein an die Geschichte der Region in Zusammenhang mit der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus anknüpfen und aktuelle Bezüge zu Themen der Gegenwart herstellen. Ziel des Vereins ist es, Menschenrechte, ihre Inhalte und ihre Geschichte bekannt zu machen und mittels Bildung, Pädagogik und Kultur bewusstseinsbildend aktiv zu sein und die TeilnehmerInnen in den Menschenrechten zu stärken. Im Vorfeld zum Menschenrechtssymposium finden Erzählcafés, Begegnungen, Workshops mit Schulen und interessierten Organisationen statt. Es gibt ein Rahmenprogramm mit Ausstellungen und Filmen. Das Thema bildet einen Jahresschwerpunkt. Es gibt im Laufe des ganzen Jahres Aktivitäten dazu.
