Description
On the occasion of the Auschwitz Decree of 16 December 1942, which heralded the systematic persecution and killing of the Roma population in the sphere of influence of the “Third Reich”, a commemorative event is to take place in the Great Broadcasting Hall of the ORF on 16 May 2022. The second part of the project is an exhibition. It consists of 14 movable walls with photographs, documents and explanatory texts. During the week it will be possible to offer guided tours to groups from schools and youth institutions or associations.

Aus Anlass des Auschwitz-Erlasses vom 16.12.1942, der den Auftakt zur systematischen Verfolgung und Tötung der Roma-Bevölkerung im Einflussbereich des „Dritten Reichs“ gab, soll am 16.05.2022 im Großen Sendesaal des ORF eine Gedenkveranstaltung stattfinden. Der zweite Teil des Projekts ist eine Ausstellung. Sie besteht aus 14 Rollwänden mit Fotografien, Dokumenten und erläuternden Texten. Während der Woche wird es möglich sein, Führungen für Gruppen aus Schulen und Jugendeinrichtungen oder von Vereinen anzubieten.
