Description
The project “Living and Dying in Auschwitz” is a comprehensive chronology of Auschwitz. The author Dietmar Reinhard worked as an illustrator for media such as Stern, Zeitmagazin and Süddeutsche, he spent the first five years of his retirement with meticulous work and extensive study of sources to present a sober and factual chronology of Auschwitz as a graphic novel. Danuta Czech's calendar of events in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp serves as a guide for his documentary approach; “Living and Dying in Auschwitz” follows the historical evidence down to the smallest details and dialogues.

Das vorgelegte Projekt, "Leben und Sterben in Auschwitz", ist eine umfassende Chronologie von Auschwitz. Der Autor Dietmar Reinhard war als Illustrator für Medien wie Stern, Zeitmagazin oder Süddeutsche tätig, er hat die ersten fünf Jahre seiner Pension mit akribischer Arbeit und umfangreichem Quellenstudium verbracht, um eine nüchterne und sachliche Chronologie von Auschwitz als Graphic Novel vorzulegen.
