“March of Remembrance and Hope – Austria” is a non-profit association that offers the programme “MoRaH” for Austrian pupils; a programme lasting several months that promotes education for more humanity, tolerance and civil courage. Within the framework of the programme, students can learn from contemporary history, commemorate the victims of the Shoah and familiarise themselves with Jewish culture and traditions. The concept consists of three stages: 1. Preparation of a programme / workshop for accompanying teachers, projects, events, Meetings 2. Shoah history, commemoration and encounter trip to Poland & commemorative and encounter events in Krakow and Auschwitz-Birkenau 3. Follow-up programme / follow-up in class, finalising the projects, closing event An important part of the programme is the participation in the “March of the Living”, a memorial march in the former concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The participants of MoRaH commemorate the victims of the Shoah together with thousands of Jews (survivors and descendants of survivors) from all over the world. At the MoRaH closing event, the participants will present the projects they have worked on and talk about their experiences and insights gained during the MoRaH project and the MoRaH trip.

"March of Remembrance and Hope – Austria" ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der das Programm "MoRaH" für österreichische Schüler*innen anbietet; ein mehrmonatiges Programm, welches die Erziehung zu mehr Menschlichkeit, Toleranz und Zivilcourage fördert. Im Rahmen des Programms können die Schüler*innen aus der Zeitgeschichte lernen, der Opfer der Shoah gedenken und sich mit jüdischer Kultur und jüdischen Traditionen vertraut machen. Das Konzept besteht aus drei Etappen: 1. Vorbereitungsprogramm / Workshop für Begleitlehrer*innen, Projekte, Veranstaltungen, Begegnungen 2. Shoah-Geschichts-, Gedenk- und Begegnungsreise nach Polen & Gedenk- und Begegnungsveranstaltungen in Krakau und Auschwitz-Birkenau 3. Nachbereitungsprogramm / Nachbereitung im Unterricht, Abschließen der Projekte, Abschlussveranstaltung Ein wichtiger Programmpunkt ist die Teilnahme an der Gedenkveranstaltung "March of the Living", ein Gedenkmarsch im ehemaligen KZ Auschwitz-Birkenau. Die Teilnehmer*innen von MoRaH gedenken zusammen mit tausenden Jüdinnen und Juden (Überlebenden und Nachfahren von Überlebenden) aus der ganzen Welt der Opfer der Shoah. Bei der MoRaH-Abschlussveranstaltung präsentieren die Teilnehmer*innen erarbeitete Projekte und berichten über Erfahrungen und Erkenntnisse, die sie im Rahmen des Projekts MoRaH und der MoRaH-Reise gemacht haben.
