Easy-to-understand history of Nazi rule in Austria

Leicht verständliche Geschichte des Nationalsozialismus in Österreich

 

Publication of an easy-to-understand book about Nazi rule in Austria. Special attention will be paid to the treatment of people with disabilities and their fates during the Nazi era. The historical context as well as the pre- and post-history of Nazi rule in Austria will be included as briefly as possible. Target group People with learning and language difficulties, functional illiteracy and limited language comprehension. The aim is to sensitise the general public to the need for communicative accessibility and thus the use of plain language.

Publikation eines leicht verständlichen Buches über den Nationalsozialismus in Österreich. Dabei soll der Umgang mit Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen und ihre Schicksale in der NS-Zeit besondere Berücksichtigung finden. Der historische Kontext sowie die Vor- und Nachgeschichte des Nationalsozialismus in Österreich werden in der gebotenen Kürze miteinbezogen. Zielgruppe Menschen mit Lern- und Sprachschwierigkeiten, funktionalem Analphabetismus und eingeschränktem Sprachverständnis. Darüber soll das breite Publikum zur Notwendigkeit kommunikativer Barrierefreiheit und somit zur Verwendung Leichter Sprache sensibilisiert werden.
