"My Israeli Friend" is a 21-minute documentary film about 13-year-old gamer Enzo, an Austrian who forms an unusual friendship with 90-year-old Abraham in Israel. As a young boy and a Jew, Abraham had to flee Innsbruck in 1938 to escape Nazi persecution. His story moves Enzo so much that he realises that there is much more to discover beyond the virtual world of video games. The life story of Abraham Gafni was depicted in 16 life pictures by the Swiss-born Tyrolean artist Jacqueline Seeber. The combination of the documentary film with the exhibition of the 16 pictures gives the project the dimension of a “full-length event”.

"My Israeli Friend“ erzählt als 21 Minuten langer Dokumentarfilm vom 13-jährigen Gamer Enzo, der als Österreicher eine ungewöhnliche Freundschaft mit dem 90-jährigen Abraham in Israel schließt. Abraham musste 1938 als kleiner Junge und Jude vor der Verfolgung des Nationalsozialismus aus Innsbruck fliehen. Seine Geschichte bewegt Enzo so sehr, dass er erkennt, dass es über die virtuelle Welt von Video-Spielen hinaus noch sehr viel mehr zu entdecken gibt. Die Lebensgeschichte von Abraham Gafni wurde in 16 Lebensbildern von der in der Schweiz geborenen Tiroler Künstlerin Jacqueline Seeber dargestellt. Die Kombination des Dokumentarfilms mit der Ausstellung der 16 Bilder geben dem Projekt die Dimension einer „abendfüllenden Veranstaltung“.
