“The Suitcase” is a play with music by Jane Coyle, inspired by a real suitcase in the Jewish Museum Vienna. Open House Theatre presented the play in a bilingual version, in German and English, in February 2023 in cooperation with Powerstone Entertainment and Dschungel Wien in February 2023 for the Austrian premiere. The production has now been invited to put on a guest performance at the “House of Tolerance” festival in Ljubljana (Slovenia) in November 2023. The play was staged bilingually – all scenes in Berlin and Vienna in German and all scenes in Belfast in English. The idea of bilingualism and the German translation were realised by Robert G. Neumayr. Complementary surtitles were used to minimise the language barrier for the audience.

"The Suitcase" ist ein Schauspiel mit Musik von Jane Coyle, inspiriert von einem realen Koffer im Jüdischen Museum Wien. Open House Theatre brachte das Stück in einer bilingualen Fassung, auf Deutsch und Englisch, im Februar 2023 in Kooperation mit Powerstone Entertainment und Dschungel Wien im Februar 2023 zur österreichischen Erstaufführung. Die Produktion wurde nun für ein Gastspiel beim Festival "House of Tolerance" im November 2023 in Ljubljana (Slowenien) eingeladen. Das Stück wurde bilingual inszeniert - alle Szenen in Berlin und Wien auf Deutsch sowie alle Szenen in Belfast auf Englisch. Die Idee zur Zweisprachigkeit sowie die deutschsprachige Übersetzung wurden von Robert G. Neumayr umgesetzt. Um die Sprachbarriere für das Publikum so niedrig wie möglich zu halten, wurden komplementäre Übertitel eingesetzt.
