Description
The aim of the survey is to analyse and compare authoritarian attitudes, group-related misanthropy and national images of history in Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the UK. As previously shown, antisemitic attitudes and uncritical relativisation of the Shoah and National Socialism are an important indicator of anti-democratic and authoritarian attitudes.

Ziel der Erhebung ist es, autoritäre Einstellungen, gruppenbezogene Menschenfeindlichkeit sowie nationale Geschichtsbilder in Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Österreich, Polen, der Tschechischen Republik und Ungarn sowie in Großbritannien zu untersuchen und vergleichend gegenüberzustellen. Wie bereits früher gezeigt, stellen antisemitische Einstellungen und unkritische Relativierung der Shoa und des Nationalsozialismus einen wichtigen Indikator für antidemokratische sowie autoritäre Einstellungen dar.
