In the winter semester 2008/2009 a ring lecture, sponsored by the National Fund, took place in the Faculty for Historical and Cultural Sciences of the University of Vienna, which was organized by 14 internationally renowned academics. As a result of this ring lecture, there was a highly interesting dossier of extremely sophisticated aspects on the subject of Jewish cemeteries as places for religious gatherings, places of remembrance and memorials, which was made available to a wider public in the form of a book.

Im Wintersemester 2008/09 fand eine Ringvorlesung, gefördert durch den Nationalfonds, an der Historisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Wien statt, welche von 14 international renommierten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern gestaltet wurde. Durch diese Ringvorlesung liegt ein höchst interessantes Konvolut an äußerst differenziert vorgetragenen Aspekten zum Thema der jüdischen Friedhöfe als Kultstätten, Erinnnerungsorte und Denkmäler vor, welches in Buchform einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden soll.
