Wilhelm Weixlbraun, a typesetter, for decades a member of the photographic section of the Friends of Nature, a man at the peak of his life, was arrested by the Gestapo in 1941 and later sentenced to death for high treason. He had done nothing more than believe in Austrian independence and publish his opinion on flyers. The aim of the project was to keep the memory of this man alive, one of the many who literally put his head on the line for Austrian independence.

Wilhelm Weixlbraun, ein Schriftsetzer, jahrzehntelang Mitglied der Fotosektion der Naturfreunde, ein Mann, der auf der Höhe seines Lebens steht, wird 1941 von der Gestapo verhaftet und später wegen Hochverrates zum Tode verurteilt. Er hat nichts anderes gemacht, als an die Eigenständigkeit Österreichs zu glauben und seine Meinung mittels Flugblätter öffentlich zu machen. Die Erinnerung an diesen Mann hochzuhalten, einer der vielen, der für die Unabhängigkeit Österreichs buchstäblich seinen Kopf hinhielt, dies festzuhalten, das ist der Sinn dieses Projektes.
