The book documents the memories of the author Peter Kuchar, who was a resistance fighter active as a courier in the resistance movement against the National Socialist campaign of destruction in the Second World War. On 6 May 1945 he was subjected to an SS police ambush, during which he was severely injured.

In dem Buch sind die persönlichen Erinnerungen des Autors Peter Kuchar dokumentiert, der als Widerstandskämpfer im zweiten Weltkrieg in der Widerstandsbewegung gegen den nationalsozialistischen Vernichtungsfeldzug aktiv als Kurier tätig war und am 6. Mai 1945 in einen Hinterhalt der SS-Polizei geriet, wobei er schwer verletzt wurde.
