Description
The proposed project, The Golden Thread was aimed at Austrian schools. Centropa wished to concentrate primarily on students at vocational schools, whose families come from southern Europe and Turkey and who have been pushed to the margins of society due to their origins. How can these young people be brought into the middle of society? How can young people with an immigrant background be reached, to bring them closer to the positive lesson of civil courage and to show them that there are many aspects of their history of which they can be proud?

Der Projektvorschlag Der Goldene Faden richtet sich an österreichische Schulen, wobei sich Centropa primär auf SchülerInnen an Berufsschulen konzentrieren möchten, deren Familien aus Südosteuropa und der Türkei kommen und aufgrund ihrer Herkunft an den Rand der Gesellschaft gedrängt werden. Wie kann man diese Jugendlichen in die Mitte der Gesellschaft bringen. Wie erreicht man junge Leute mit Migrationshintergrund, um ihnen die positive Lektion von Zivilcourage näher zu bringen und um ihnen zu zeigen, dass es viele Aspekte in ihrer Geschichte gibt, auf die sie stolz sein können?
