Connecting the Descendants of Austrian Shoah Survivors in Israel

The aim of the project is to comprehensively reach the constantly growing community of descendants of Shoah victims from Austria and to integrate them into the social and cultural activities and programmes of the Central Committee. In close co-operation with the Austrian Embassy, information and activities are communicated to Austrians living in Israel. The dispatch of information letters, supported by the embassy, is intended to ensure that descendants are informed about what is on offer. There is already growing interest, especially from descendants who have become Austrian citizens.

Ziel des Projekts ist es, die stetig wachsende Community der Nachkommen von Shoah-Opfern aus Österreich umfassend zu erreichen und in die sozialen und kulturellen Aktivtäten und Angebote des Zentralkomitee zu integrieren. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit der österreichischen Botschaft werden Informationen und Angebote an die in Israel lebenden Österreicher und Österreicherinnen kommuniziert. Der Versand von Informationsbriefen, unterstützt von der Botschaft, soll sicherstellen, dass die Nachkommen über die verfügbaren Angebote informiert werden. Bereits jetzt zeigt sich ein wachsendes Interesse an den Angeboten, insbesondere seitens der Nachkommen, die österreichische Staatsbürger:innen geworden sind.
