Description
The greatest fears of Jews in the diaspora are mostly inseparable from those of the respective majority society. The ANGST exhibition at the Jewish Museum Vienna, with its focus on fears that were and are triggered by antisemitism, the Shoah and the terror of Hamas, therefore also explores the origins of fears in the Jewish context in European cultural history.

Die größten Ängste von Jüdinnen und Juden in der Diaspora sind mehrheitlich nicht zu trennen von jenen der jeweiligen Mehrheitsgesellschaft. Die Ausstellung ANGST des Jüdischen Museums Wien mit ihrem Schwerpunkt auf Ängsten, die durch Antisemitismus, die Schoa und den Terror der Hamas ausgelöst wurden und werden, erforscht daher auch die Ursprünge von Ängsten im jüdischen Kontext in der europäischen Kulturgeschichte.
