Description
The primary aim is to introduce the participants to key topics and issues relating to coming to terms with National Socialism and the politics of remembrance. In addition, the training period will also be used to clarify organisational and administrative issues relating to a one-year voluntary service abroad. As part of the revision, the entire concept of the preparatory seminars as well as all workshops and the associated moderation guidelines will be reconceived. The newly revised preparatory seminars will be held for the first time from March to July 2026 for the 2026/27 memorial service cohort.

Vorrangiges Ziel ist es, die Teilnehmenden in zentrale Themenkomplexe und Fragestellungen der NS-Aufarbeitung und Erinnerungspolitik einzuführen. Darüber hinaus soll die Ausbildungszeit auch genutzt werden, um organisatorische und administrative Fragen mit Bezug auf einen einjährigen Freiwilligendienst im Ausland zu klären. Im Rahmen der Überarbeitung werden das gesamte Konzept der Vorbereitungsseminare sowie alle Workshops und die dazugehörigen Moderationsleitfäden neu gedacht. Die neu überarbeiteten Vorbereitungsseminare werden erstmals von März bis Juli 2026 für den Gedenkdienst-Jahrgang 2026/27 durchgeführt werden.
