2 February 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of a mass escape from the Mauthausen concentration camp and the hunt for the escaped prisoners, including by the civilian population. The SS called this inconceivable manhunt the “Mühlviertel Rabbit Hunt”. The project presented here begins in 1945 and initially explores the question of what happened to the rescued and the rescuers after 1945.

Am 2. Februar 2025 jährt sich zum 80. Mal ein Massenausbruch aus dem Konzentrationslager Mauthausen und die Hetzjagd auf die entflohenen Häftlinge, auch durch die Zivilbevölkerung. Diese unfassbare Menschenhatz nannte die SS „Mühlviertler Hasenjagd“. Das vorgelegte Projekt setzt 1945 an und geht vorerst der Frage nach, wie es nach 1945 weitergegangen ist mit den Geretteten und den Rettern.
