The workshop raises awareness of extremism, including right-wing extremism, antisemitism and racism. It makes young people aware of the dangers of extremist violence and helps them understand conflicts based on perceived 'otherness'. The workshop teaches strategies for dealing with prejudice, powerlessness, aggression and fear, and promotes respectful, peaceful and democratic coexistence. The project aims to teach intercultural skills and promote tolerance. This work is becoming increasingly important, particularly due to unregulated access to social media.

Der Workshop trägt zur Entwicklung eines Bewusstseins gegen Extremismus, Rechtsextremismus, Antisemitismus und Rassismus bei. Er sensibilisiert Jugendliche für die Gefahren extremistischer Gewalt und hilft ihnen, Konflikte aufgrund vermeintlichen „Andersseins“ zu verstehen. Er vermittelt Handlungsstrategien im Umgang mit Vorurteilen, Ohnmacht, Aggression und Angst und fördert ein respektvolles, friedliches und demokratisches Zusammenleben. Ziel des Projekts ist die Vermittlung interkultureller Kompetenz und die Förderung von Toleranz. Insbesondere durch den unregulierten Zugang zu sozialen Medien gewinnt diese Arbeit zunehmend an Bedeutung.
