The association's aim is to reinstate the memory of those who were murdered in their home district and, consequently, in the city of Vienna. This remembrance takes the form of brass plaques, or 'stones of remembrance', which are embedded in the ground in front of the houses where the victims lived. Next year, eight openings are planned in eight districts (1, 2, 6, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 19), with around 50 new memorial sites. All of the new memorial sites will be officially inaugurated at the opening ceremonies.

Ziel des Vereins ist es, den Ermordeten wieder einen Platz in ihrem Heimatbezirk und damit im Gedächtnis der Stadt Wien zu geben. Die Form des Gedenkens sind Messingplatten – „Steine der Erinnerung“ –, die in den Boden vor den Häusern eingelassen werden, in denen die Opfer ihren Lebensmittelpunkt hatten. Für das kommende Jahr sind acht Eröffnungen in acht Bezirken (1, 2, 6, 9, 12, 14, 15 und 19) mit rund 50 neuen Stationen der Erinnerung geplant. Bei den Eröffnungsfeiern werden alle neuen Gedenkorte feierlich eingeweiht.
