Attempts by Carinthian Slovenes and Slovenes to publish a comprehensive documentation of National Socialist persecution and its victims were banned by both the British military government and the Security Directorate for Carinthia. Today, there is still no systematic list of names and there is no book of remembrance. The planned project wanted to bring the patchy knowledge about the persecution and above all about the victims who have already succumbed to anonymity (back) into the public consciousness and return to the victims their dignity as individuals.

Bestrebungen seitens Kärntner Slowenen und Sloweninnen unmittelbar nach dem Krieg eine umfassende Dokumentation der NS-Verfolgung und ihrer Opfer zu publizieren, wurden sowohl von der britischen Militärregierung als auch der Sicherheitsdirektion für Kärnten verboten. Bis heute fehlt eine systematische Namenserfassung und es gibt kein Gedenkbuch. Das geplante Projekt will das verschüttete Wissen um die Verfolgung, vor allem aber die bereits der Anonymität von Zahlen anheimgefallenen Opfer (wieder) ins Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit rücken und den Opfern ihre Würde als individuelle Persönlichkeiten zurückgeben.
