The project "Lost Neighborhood Buenos Aires – Vienna“, which commenced on the National bank holiday in 2008 and reached its conclusion for the time being on the 70th anniversary of the so called “Reichskristallnacht” was positively received by many people – above all by those to whom it was dedicated. The aim of the project was the written publication of the fundamental, transdisciplinary and transnational debates which arose during the 2008 project. Participants from the fields of psychology, political science, history and politics, from both Argentina and Austria wrote of their approaches and methods with regard, on the one hand, to those who were expelled in 1938 and, on the other hand, also to everything that happened in Austria and Argentina after 1945.

Das Projekt “Verlorene Nachbarschaft. Buenos Aires – Wien”, welches am österreichischen Nationalfeiertag im Jahr 2008 begann und am 70. Jahrestag der sogenannten „Reichskristallnacht“ seinen bisherigen Schlusspunkt fand, hat bei einigen Leuten – vor allem bei denen, denen es gewidmet war – wichtige Signale und Zeichen gesetzt. Ziel des Projekts ist die schriftliche Publikation der grundlegenden, transdisziplinären und transnationalen Debatten, die sich im Rahmen des Projektes 2008 ergeben haben. Mitwirkende aus den Bereichen Psychologie, Politikwissenschaft, Geschichte und Politik von argentinischer und österreichischer Seite schreiben über ihre Zugangs- und Arbeitsweisen in Bezug einerseits auf die 1938 Vertriebenen, doch auch andererseits auf all das, was sich nach 1945 in Österreich und Argentinien geschah.
