As a result of prolonged research, in 1996 in former East Berlin, Walter Hilgarth found original court documents giving information on the death of his father. His father was beheaded on 9 January 1945 in Vienna by the National Socialist regime due to his resistance against the authority of the state. Through this biography with stories, these contemporary historical documents are safeguarded for future generations.

Durch langwierige Recherchen fand Walter Hilgarth 1996 im vormaligen Ostberlin die Original-Gerichtsdokumente, die über den Tod seines Vaters Auskunft geben. Sein Vater wurde am 9.1.1945 vom NS-Regime in Wien wegen Widerstand gegen die Staatsgewalt enthauptet. Durch eine Biographie mit Erzählungen, werden diese zeit¬geschichtlichen Dokumente der Nachwelt erhalten.
