The film is based on the Holocaust diary entries of the father of the well-known Israeli filmmaker David Fisher. The filmmaker attempts to look into the past cruelties which occurred in Gusen and Gunskirchen. The filmmaker also goes on a personal journey to try and understand the gulf between the father he knew and the one who he discovered when he read his Holocaust diary after his death.

Der Film basiert auf den Holocausttagebuchaufzeichnungen des Vaters des bekannten israelischen Filmemachers David Fisher. Der Filmemacher ist dabei bestrebt, den vergangenen Grausamkeiten, welche in Gusen und Gunskirchen passiert sind, nachzugehen. Darüber hinaus begibt sich der Filmemacher auch auf eine persönliche Reise, um die Kluft zwischen dem Vater, den er kannte und demjenigen, den er neu entdeckte, als er nach dessen Tod sein Holocausttagebuch las, zu begreifen.
