This exhibition was dedicated to all of the children of the orphanage "Dom Sierot", to its staff and, above all, to Janusz Korczak. Korczak was not only the initiator and long-standing director of the Jewish orphanage in Warsaw but also a doctor, teacher, children's author or simply "the old doctor". He spent his who life fighting for children's rights. Korczak wanted to give children a voice in a world dominated by adults. In early 1942, he, the Polish Jew, and 200 of the orphans in his care and their carers were murdered in Treblinka.

Diese Ausstellung ist allen Kindern des Waisenhauses „Dom Sierot“, dessen Mitarbeitern und vor allem Janusz Korczak gewidmet. Korczak war nicht nur der Initiator und langjährige Leiter des jüdischen Waisenhauses in Warschau, sondern auch Arzt, Pädagoge, Kinderbuchautor, oder einfach nur „Der alte Doktor“. Zeit seines Lebens setzte er sich für die Rechte der Kinder ein. Korczak wollte Kindern eine Stimme geben, in einer Welt, die von Erwachsenen dominiert wird. Anfang August 1942 wurde er, der polnische Jude, zusammen mit 200 ihm anvertrauten Weisenkindern und ihren Betreuern im Treblinka ermordet.
