Description
The concentration camp memorial worked on a database project for six months which aimed to list the names of all inmates of the satellite camp Ebensee. Around 26,500 names were to be laboriously transferred into a database from the existing transport and death lists and camp status books, as well as from cemetery plans and exhumation protocols. The completed database was to be made available to visitors of the Museum of Contemporary History at an info point.

Die KZ-Gedenkstätte arbeitet seit sechs Monaten an einem Datenbankprojekt, das die namentliche Erfassung aller Häftlinge des KZ-Außenlagers Ebensee zum Ziel hat. Es handelt sich um etwa 26.500 Namen, die in mühevoller Kleinarbeit von existierenden Transport- und Totenlisten und Lagerstandsbüchern sowie von Grablageplänen und Exhumierungsprotokollen in eine Datenbank übertragen werden sollen. Die abgeschlossene Datenbank soll an einem 'Info-Point' im Zeitgeschichten Museum für alle Besucher zur Verfügung stehen.
