Description

After the Anschluss of 1938, the successful careers of the many female Jewish Viennese photographers were abruptly ended or at least interrupted. This publication highlights the significance of the female Jewish Viennese photographers and portrays their fates in the years 1938-1945.

Mit dem "Anschluss" von 1938 riss die erfolgreiche Tätigkeit der zahlreichen jüdischen Wiener Fotografinnen schlagartig ab oder erfuhr zumindest eine scharfe Zäsur. Die Publikation soll die Bedeutung Wiener jüdischer Fotografinnen würdigen und deren Schicksal in der Zeit von 1938-1945 darstellen.
