The project has two objectives. Firstly, it aims to conduct more in-depth research into Nazi euthanasia. Secondly, it aims to share the findings with a wider audience through educational programmes and events. Research into those who were murdered at Hartheim will continue. An interview project will explore how the local population dealt with Nazi euthanasia and the Hartheim site. In the area of education, the existing programme will be further developed. From 2026, the ‘Hitler's Executioners’ exhibition will be shown in Hartheim. Additionally, the publication of a second volume on the archaeological findings is planned.

Das Projekt verfolgt zwei Ziele: Einerseits sollen Forschungen zur NS-Euthanasie vertieft und andererseits die Ergebnisse einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht und im Rahmen von pädagogischen Angeboten sowie Veranstaltungen vermittelt werden. Die Recherchen zu Menschen, die in Hartheim ermordet wurden, werden fortgesetzt. Ein Interviewprojekt soll sich mit dem Umgang der regionalen Bevölkerung mit der NS-Euthanasie unddem Ort Hartheim befassen. Im Bereich der Vermittlung wird das pädagogische Angebot weiterentwickelt. Ab 2026 wird die Ausstellung „Hitlers Exekutive“ in Hartheim gezeigt. Zudem ist die Veröffentlichung eines zweiten Bandes zu den archäologischen Fundgegenständen geplant.
