Description
The Festival of Regions will be held in Braunau from 13 to 22 June 2025. With the theme of 'Realistic Dreams', the festival will explore the search for shared utopias. In collaboration with the House of Austrian History (HdGÖ), an educational and exhibition project focusing on Adolf Hitler's birthplace is being developed.
The project focuses on objects that the House of Austrian History added to its collection prior to the building's renovation. An educational programme has been designed based on this collection. Meanwhile, five artists are each creating a piece to explore new approaches to remembrance and responsibility in public spaces.

Vom 13. bis 22.6.2025 gastiert das Festival der Regionen in Braunau. Unter dem Titel „Realistische Träume“ widmet sich das Festival der Suche nach gemeinsamen Utopien. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Haus der Geschichte Österreich (HdGÖ) entsteht ein Vermittlungs- und Ausstellungsprojekt rund um Adolf Hitlers Geburtshaus. Der Fokus liegt auf Objekten, die das HdGÖ vor dem Umbau in seine Sammlung aufgenommen hat. Auf Basis dieser Sammlung wurde ein Vermittlungsangebot konzipiert. Parallel dazu realisieren fünf Künstler:innen jeweils eine Arbeit, um neue Wege der Erinnerung und Verantwortung im öffentlichen Raum zu erkunden.
