Description
The association ArtPlace documents stories and images of former Young Austrians, former members of the resistance movement in English exile. The Young Austrians – today aged between 85 and 95 – will be interviewed. Those among them who have already passed away will be documented with the help of their relatives and the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance. The appraisal of the anti-Fascists will take the form of an exhibition, readings and an appearance by Lena Rothstein, whose parents were active members of the Young Austrians. The book will be presented at the photo exhibition on 12 March 2012 at the Hietzing Adult Education Center.

Der Verein KunstPlatzl dokumentiert Geschichten und Bilder von ehemaligen Young Austrians, früheren Mitgliedern der Widerstandsbewegung im Exil in Großbritannien. Die Young Austrians - heute 85 bis 95 Jahre alt - werden interviewt. Die bereits Verstorbenen unter ihnen werden mit Hilfe der Nachkommen und des DÖW’s dokumentiert. Die Würdigung der Antifaschisten wird mit einer Fotoausstellung, mit Lesungen und einem Auftritt von Lena Rothstein, deren Eltern in Young Austria aktiv waren, erfolgen. Das Buch soll bei der Fotoausstellung am 12. März 2012 in der VHS Hietzing präsentiert werden.
