Description
The exhibition "Holocaust in Europe" provides a brief and complete history of the Holocaust in Europe, beginning with the rise of Nazism. It shows chronologically the intensification of anti-Semitic sentiments and anti-Jewish laws in Hitler's Germany and ends with Hitler's plan to exterminate European Jewry as a whole. The exhibition was conceived in order to provide a generally Europe-oriented historical overview of the history of the genocide of the Jews, without any particular national focus. The aim of the project is to adapt the exhibition to the Austrian context in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture.

Die Ausstellung „Holocaust in Europa“ stellt eine kurze und komplette Geschichte des Holocaust in Europa zur Verfügung und fängt mit dem Aufstieg des Nationalsozialismus 1933 an. Es zeigt chronologisch die Intensivierung von antisemitischen Gefühlen sowie von Anti-Jüdischen Gesetzen in Hitler Deutschland auf und endet bei Hitlers Plan, jeden Juden in Europa zu ermorden. Die Ausstellung wurde konzipiert, um einen generellen europäisch orientierten historischen Überblick über die Geschichte des Genozids der Juden aufzuzeigen, ohne speziellen nationalen Bezug. Der Zweck des Projektes ist es, die Ausstellung dem österreichischen Kontext in Zusammenarbeit mit dem österreichischen BMUKK anzupassen.
