Description
March of Remembrance and Hope – Austria (MoRaH) is a non-profit association that runs the MoRaH programme for Austrian school students. This programme is a component of an educational initiative that aims to promote humanity, tolerance and moral courage. The programme includes a commemorative and educational tour to Poland, with events in Krakow and Auschwitz-Birkenau. In preparation for this trip, a two-day workshop is held in cooperation with 'erinnern.at' to ensure that participants are adequately prepared, both emotionally and thematically, for the programme. Participation in the 'March of the Living' memorial event at the former Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp is one of the items on the programme. At the closing event, the participants will present the projects they have worked on and report on their experiences and insights gained during the MoRaH project and the MoRaH trip.

„March of Remembrance and Hope – Austria“ ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der das Programm "MoRaH" für österreichische Schüler:innen anbietet, ein mehrmonatiges Programm, das Teil einer Erziehung zu mehr Menschlichkeit, Toleranz und Zivilcourage ist. Es beinhaltet unter anderem eine Gedenk- und Begegnungsreise nach Polen mit Veranstaltungen in Krakau und Auschwitz-Birkenau. Im Vorfeld dieser Reise findet ein 2-tägiger Workshop in Zusammenarbeit mit „erinnern.at“ statt, der emotional und inhaltlich-thematisch auf das Programm vorbereitet. Ein Programmpunkt ist die Teilnahme an der Gedenkveranstaltung „March of the Living“ im ehemaligen KZ Auschwitz-Birkenau. Bei der Abschlussveranstaltung präsentieren die Teilnehmer:innen erarbeitete Projekte und berichten über Erfahrungen und Erkenntnisse, die sie im Rahmen des Projekts MoRaH und der MoRaH-Reise gemacht haben.
