Die Vorgehensweise der Wiener Kriminalpolizei bei der Verfolgung von Lesben, Schwulen und Transpersonen zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus

 

The aim of this research project is to examine the Vienna Criminal Police’s approach to the persecution of “homosexuals” and trans* people during the Nazi era, based on the bulletins published by the Vienna Criminal Police between January 1940 and August 1940. The findings of this research are intended to shed further light on the role played by the Vienna Criminal Police in the persecution of homosexuals, to expand existing QWIEN databases, and to lay the foundations for future biographical research into these homosexuals and trans* people persecuted under the Nazi regime.

Ziel dieses Forschungsvorhabens ist es, anhand der im Zeitraum von Jänner 1940 bis August 1940 veröffentlichten Mitteilungsblätter der Wiener Kriminalpolizei deren Vorgehensweise bei der Verfolgung von „Homosexuellen“ und Trans*personen zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus zu beleuchten. Die Erkenntnisse dieser Forschung sollen dazu dienen, die Rolle der KriPo Wien in der Homosexuellenverfolgung genauer zu beleuchten, bestehende Datenbanken von QWIEN zu erweitern und den Grundstein für zukünftige Biografieforschung zu diesen im Nationalsozialismus verfolgten Homosexuellen und Transpersonen zu legen.
