Lines of Nazi Resistance – participatory remembrance work for today’s generations

This cultural project is dedicated to examining the fates of victims and resistance fighters during the Nazi era. The focus is on biographies from diverse social and ideological backgrounds, which highlight the diversity of the resistance movement and bring the victims’ perspectives to the fore. Key elements of the project are: • Generation of knowledge (engaging visitors to uncover new sources, memories and victims’ biographies, including accompanying events and educational projects) • Innovative extracurricular learning format (use of interactive elements and online media to empower the younger generation to distinguish facts from disinformation and to use digital media critically) • Sustainable use of data (establishment of an online archive and cooperation with the digital platform “NS Resistance and Persecution in Hall in Tyrol”) • Exhibition expansion (integration of the results into the existing exhibition project)

Das Kulturprojekt widmet sich der Aufarbeitung der Schicksale von Opfern und Widerstandskämpfer:innen im Nationalsozialismus. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Biografien aus unterschiedlichen gesellschaftlichen und weltanschaulichen Richtungen, die die Vielfalt des Widerstands sichtbar machen und die Perspektive der Opfer in den Vordergrund rücken. Zentrale Elemente des Projektes sind: • Wissensgenerierung (Einbindung der Besucher:innen, um neue Quellen, Erinnerungen und Opferbiografien zu erschließen, samt begleitenden Veranstaltungen und Bildungsprojekten) • außerschulisches innovatives Lernformat (Verwendung von interaktiven Elementen und Online-Medien, um die junge Generation zu befähigen, Fakten von Desinformation zu unterscheiden und digitale Medien kritisch zu nutzen) • nachhaltige Datennutzung (Aufbau eines Online-Archivs sowie Kooperation mit der digitalen Plattform „NS-Widerstand und Verfolgung in Hall in Tirol“) • Ausstellungserweiterung (Integrierung der Ergebnisse in das bestehende Ausstellungsprojekt)
