Description
The International Roma Day on 8 April 2026 will once again be organised by the Voice of Diversity association in Vienna as a central forum for remembrance, awareness-raising and cultural diversity. This time, the event will be spread over two days. On the afternoon of 8 April, a preview screening of the documentary film “I Don’t Want to Be a Silent Dog” will take place in the small auditorium of the Metro Cinema. On 9 April, the film will be shown in the main auditorium, followed by a concert. The internationally renowned guitarist Harri Stojka, together with Aliosha Biz & Joschi Schneeberger, will present a programme that highlights the musical diversity and vitality of Roma culture.

Der Internationale Tag der Roma am 8. April 2026 wird vom Verein Voice of Diversity in Wien erneut als zentrales Forum für Erinnerung, Bewusstseinsbildung und kulturelle Vielfalt gestaltet. Diesmal wird die Veranstaltung auf zwei Tage aufgeteilt. Am Nachmittag des 8. April findet im Metro Kino im kleinen Saal eine Preview-Filmvorführung des Dokumentarfilms „Ein stummer Hund will ich nicht sein“ statt. Am 9. April wird der Film im großen Saal gezeigt mit anschließendem Konzert. Der international bekannte Gitarrist Harri Stojka präsentiert gemeinsam mit Aliosha Biz & Joschi Schneeberger ein Programm, das die musikalische Vielfalt und Lebenskraft der Roma-Kultur in den Mittelpunkt stellt.
