Project

Description

The project consists of 10 three-hour Holocaust education workshops with contemporary witnesses for Viennese school classes from Year 8 onwards, in memory of the Romani artist and Auschwitz survivor CEIJA STOJKA, who died in Vienna on 28 January 2013. Following a short film and an introduction to the history and present-day situation of the Roma, excerpts from Ceija Stojka’s accounts of her survival in Auschwitz, Ravensbrück and Bergen-Belsen will be read aloud. After the break, there will be a creative musical session featuring rap and songs against racism. The session will conclude with written feedback.
