Description

Many Austrians were murdered in Belarus. Last year the first journey of remembrance to Minsk and Maly Trostinec was organized privately; there were 16 participants. Among other things, memorial plaques were hung up for those murdered, an interreligious mourning ceremony was held in Minsk, a visit was made to the former Jewish ghetto in Minsk and the national memorial Chatyn. This was also on the program of the second journey of remembrance from 10–13 June 2011, in which 16 people participated.

In Maly Trostinec in Weißrussland wurden sehr viele Österreicher ermordet. Im vergangenen Jahr wurde bereits die erste Gedenkreise nach Minsk und Maly Trostinec privat organisiert, an der 16 Personen aus Österreich teilgenommen haben. Dort wurden u.a. für die Ermordeten Gedenktafeln aufgehängt, eine interreligiöse Trauerfeier in Minsk abgehalten, das ehemalige Ghetto in Minsk besucht, aber auch die nationale Gedenkstätte Chatyn. All dies stand auch auf dem Programm der 2.Gedenkreise vom 10.-13.Juni 2011, an der wieder 16 Personen teilgenommen haben.
