Zentrales Seminar 2026: Verfolgung und Widerstand der Kärntner Sloweninnen und Slowenen/Koroški Slovenci in Slovence

 

As part of ERINNERN:AT 2026’s annual focus on the theme “50 Years of the Ethnic Groups Act: National Minorities in Austria. From Persecution under Nazism to Recognition as Ethnic Groups”, the OeAD’s annual conference on Holocaust Education (Central Seminar) 2026 will take place from 12 to 14 November in Klagenfurt. As part of the event, which is being organised in collaboration with the Carinthian University of Education, up-to-date historical background information on the history of Carinthian Slovenes will be presented and discussed. Through workshops and excursions, participants will learn about approaches to teaching the subject in the classroom and discover specific educational programmes and learning materials, both in print and digital formats. The Central Seminar is primarily aimed at history teachers from all types of schools.

Eingebettet in den Jahresschwerpunkt von ERINNERN:AT 2026 zum Thema „50 Jahre Volksgruppengesetz: Nationale Minderheiten in Österreich. Von der Verfolgung im Nationalsozialismus zur Anerkennung als Volksgruppen“ findet die Jahrestagung des OeAD zur Holocaust Education (Zentrales Seminar) 2026 von 12.-14. November in Klagenfurt statt. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung, die gemeinsam mit der Pädagogischen Hochschule Kärnten ausgerichtet wird, werden forschungsaktuelle historische Hintergrundinformationen zur Geschichte der Kärntner Sloweninnen und Slowenen dargelegt und diskutiert. In Workshops und Exkursionen lernen die Teilnehmenden Ansätze zur Vermittlung des Themas im Unterricht und konkrete analoge wie digitale Bildungsangebote und Lernmaterialien kennen. Das Zentrale Seminar richtet sich vorrangig an Lehrpersonen für Geschichte aller Schularten.
