Research into Otto Heller’s influence on the efforts to secure the Austrian State Treaty is to be presented at an international symposium in Vienna in June 2026. Otto Heller, a Viennese Jew and Social Democrat, fled to Brazil to escape fascism. A further aim of the event is to highlight the political and social wisdom of the displaced Austrians, including Bruno Kreisky himself, in the reconstruction of Austria as a hitherto unknown factor in Austrian history. The event will take place in the Small Ceremonial Hall of the University of Vienna.

Die Forschungen über den Einfluss Otto Hellers auf die Bemühungen um den österreichischen Staatsvertrag sollen im Rahmen des internationalen Symposiums im Juni 2026 in Wien präsentiert werden. Der Wiener Jude und Sozialdemokrat Otto Heller flüchtete vor dem Faschismus nach Brasilien. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es zudem, die politische und gesellschaftliche Vernunft der vertriebenen Österreicher, darunter Bruno Kreisky selbst, für den Wiederaufbau Österreichs als bislang unbekannten Faktor österreichischer Geschichte darzustellen. Die Veranstaltung findet im Kleinen Festsaal der Universität Wien statt.
